The Tech Futures Summit is designed to advance our collective agenda – increasing the level of innovation and entrepreneurialism in Alberta. At the Summit you’ll hear stories and experiences about the innovation system. The conference format supports conversations and problem solving about the roadblocks and inhibitors that challenge efforts to establish an environment encouraging ideas to become innovations that ultimately move into markets.
Innovation, commercialization and diversification have been talked about for years. The difference and major advantage in discussing these topics now, is the context of the provincial Innovation System. The systems approach encourages an end-to-end, holistic look at the chain of activities, individuals and contributors, who help ideas evolve into commercially viable products, services and businesses.
While many of us work within the innovation system in relative isolation, the Summit brings us together as a collective to share insights and discuss common issues. Ideally, it will become a catalyst for change along the innovation-commercialization chain and lead to greater momentum. Join us and add to the conversation.
